	Annikken Wilhelmsen is a non-industrial garment practitioner based in Oslo, Norway.After graduating from the MA Design program at Oslo National academy of the arts she has been exploring 
the possibilities of what a fashion practice can be outside of the existing commercial systems. 
 With an investigative and speculative approach she moves in the between-spaces of art, fashion, design and research. 


Central to her work is the understanding of clothes as objects, containing multiplicities of values, functions and relations to bodies and surroundings. 
Creating textile expressions, installations, performances/happenings and garments - 
focusing on the physical experiences of wearing 
and the everyday acts of practicing, living, looking, feeling and being with clothes.

“I am a garment practitioner, and so are you.
Wearing clothes, washing, folding, touching, feeling,
 sensing, looking - Continuously engaging with materials in relation to our own bodies. 
We gather experiences, histories, memories and tacit knowledge that we carry in our bodies as we open up our wardrobe another day.
 We are forming connections, both on a physical and emotional plane. 
What is a fashion practice that centers itself around these connections? This project is a series of attempts at translating experiences of private everyday garment-practicing, into questions and expressions for public audiences and spaces”&#38;nbsp;

GARMENT DIALOGUES is a project examining 
dialogues between object and body.
As humans in modern society we find ourselves constantly
 in the prescence of Fashion.
 
Every day we wake up to perform an act that 
many of us tend to pay no mind at all&#38;nbsp; – 
The act of dressing
Most people have a conscious opinion on what 
they like to wear, but how we get dressed 
has to many become a routine, a rehearsed
 choreography and a pattern of actions that 
floats by merely as a matter of chore.

By examining clothes in its most fundamental
 state - as objects, displaced from the
 established fashion system, can we disrupt 
the fixed ideas of what garment constructions
 should look like and thus also how to relate to-
and interact with them?

This project is a prompt, or a spark of awareness
 in the moment of dressing, where you are forced 
to acknowledge the reality,&#38;nbsp;
agency, and 
possibilities of the object.
 An encouragement to make new choices every 
time the object is brought to use.

Et prosjekt om bevegelighet og klær.
Hvordan gir klærne oss føringer, og hvordan&#38;nbsp;fører vi dem?
 
Hvilke merker får klærne av vår bevegelse og bruk- 
og hvordan blir vi påvirket av de bevegelsesrammene
 klærne gir oss?

Det hele startet med en fascinasjon for folk som går i
 dress på daglig basis. Kontorarbeidere som kler på seg
 den samme uniformen hver dag, og som med tiden tar
 form etter hvordan de lever sitt liv.


Hvilken type work gir hvilken type wear?

Hvordan sitter du? Hvordan går du? 
Har du en veske som gnisser mot samme sted hver dag?
  Flytter noe på seg når du beveger deg? 
Har du skjorten inni eller utenpå buksa? 
Pirker du på løse tråder? Er du mest ute eller inne?
Kjenner du plagget stramme mot huden?


Men også hvordan plagget gir føringer til deg.

Er det ting du ikke kan gjøre? Føler du deg komfortabel?
Klarer du å løfte armene høyt, gå i spagat, eller bøye 
deg ned til bakken? Kan du danse fritt eller stopper det
 opp noe sted. Får du annen holdning, føler du deg
 rettere, høyere, lavere, krummet?
Er du fri eller restricted? 


Hva gir plagget deg følelsesmessig - 
Selvtillit? Sentiment? Stolthet? Behag? Ubehag? 
Hva føler du taktilt -Mykt, glatt, ruglete, stivt, tørt, tungt, lett?


Hva skjer i samspillet mellom deg og plagget -Kontrasten mellom statisk og dynamisk, stillestående og bevegelse.

Imagine yourself-

Taking a photograph of a friend, and the exact moment
 you push the button, someone walks right into your frame.

Or at a museum trying to capture the most intricate piece 
of art, but all you can see is the reflection of your phone in 
the glass display. Or outside, snapping a nature shot in the 
evening, only to find your motif covered by your own&#38;nbsp;shadow.


Would you delete these pictures?


Disrupted imagery &#38;amp; unintended motifs is a project reflecting&#38;nbsp;
on how a motif is affected when unexpected factors come into play.
Looking into disrupted photographies and discarded image material
ive searched for new values in the momentarily uncontrollable.
Both human factors and ones manifesting through light, shadow and weather&#38;nbsp;

Med utgangspunkt i feilaktig fotografi og forkastet 
bildemateriale reflekterer Annikken Wilhelmsen i dette
 prosjektet rundt hvordan et motiv blir påvirket når&#38;nbsp;
uventede
 faktorer spiller inn.

Enten faktorene er menneskelige eller manifesterer seg i form
 av lys og skygge, åpnes det for egne tanker rundt hva som gjør
 et uttrykk mislykket.

Morfologier inngår som en del av Ellen Jerstad sitt avgangsprosjekt i master teater. Morfologier er en konsertforestilling som undersøker evolusjonens logikk: repetisjon med mutasjon.

“ Morfologier er en serie høydepunkt fra evolusjonshistorien; fra bakteriell elskov til flercellet orgie, oppfinnelsen av død, og symbiose som en forutsetning for alt liv. Morfologier destillerer milliarder av år på en time. Med utprøvning, rekombinering og hamskifte ønsker vi å gi publikum en omsluttende opplevelse av å smelte sammen i en undersøkelse av livets grunnmekanismer. Vi dissekerer livsbegjær i koreografi og scenetekst bygget ut i folkesang og tekno.”&#38;nbsp;
